The 2022 APEC Summit hosted by Thailand concluded on 19 November 2022. The meeting of leaders of 21 APEC member economies endorsed the Bangkok Goals on Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy<\/a> that provides a comprehensive framework to advance sustainable development agenda in the Asia-Pacific region. The Bangkok Goals address four main areas: environmental challenges, trade and investment, environment and natural resources, resource efficiency and sustainable waste management.<\/p>\n

The BCG was declared Thailand\u2019s national agenda in 2021. It represents a key strategy to drive sustainable development and foster the post-pandemic recovery, ensuring a balance between social, environmental and economic objectives.
