ASEAN Bio-Circular-Green Economy Knowledge Sharing Series: Accelerating Clean Energy Transition for a Greener ASEAN

In the capacity of the ASEAN Coordinator for Sustainable Development Cooperation, Thailand is committed to advancing ASEAN’s sustainability agenda and fostering sustainable development cooperation in the region. In contributing towards this goal, Thailand has introduced the Bio-Circular-Green Economy (BCG) Model as a potential recovery strategy for ASEAN post-COVID-19, and seeks to promote synergies between the BCG Model and sustainable development policies of both ASEAN Member States and ASEAN external partners, paving the way towards closer engagement and concrete cooperation amongst all stakeholders.

In this connection, we are pleased to invite you and members of your organisation to participate in the webinar entitled “ASEAN Bio-Circular-Green Economy Knowledge Sharing Series Session 3: Accelerating Clean Energy Transition for a Greener ASEAN”, to be held on Friday, 16 September 2022 at 14.00-16.00 hrs. (Bangkok Time), via videoconference. Building on the momentum from the previous two sessions, this third session aims to further enhance participants’ understanding on how the BCG Model support the acceleration of green economy through promoting renewable energy transition in ASEAN. The webinar will shed light on opportunities and challenges of renewable energy development in the region, and showcase best practices and practical approaches from the EU and Norway in shaping policies to support renewable energy industry, enhance supply chain capacity, and leveraging private sector investments and innovation, with a view to ensuring a just energy transition and increase access to an affordable, secure and sustainable energy for all.
